ReDriven 10Kw wind turbine at work

This video is showing that 3.5m/s to 5m/s wind speed can turn your meter backwards!!! So its feeding back to the grid so my local neighbours can use it too. I can't imagine how much faster the meter will spin at 9 or 10m/s

I was just thinking! if you not using your local supplier but producing your own energy and feeding it back threw your suppliers electricity grid! , shouldnt your local supplier pay you for electricity that you contributing for them ? just a thought :D

@coggy5 it does average more than that. Im with in 1. 5 kilometers from the lake on a higher attitude. It gets windy here!!! All the time. We did some calculations and we were expecting 5 years. . . But in reality with some minor break downs and some wind storms we figure 6 t0 7 years comfortably. Within 10 hopefully. Im happy with it

  9. mingosuzuki Says:

@coggy5 You are right about not placing it near tall structures due to turbulance. I did place it there because that is my property line and i also placed it behind the garage because the prevailing here is from south west. And that direction is from the lake and there’s no trees all open. The only direction that i would have a provlem with would be winds from the East , My house is tall enough that it could cause a problem but very rare we get winds from the east.

10kW, so you’ll get about 3kW average. 8760 hours per year gives you 26,280kWh per annum. By say 10c per kW = $2,628 per annum. Payback in what? 20 years!

  11. coggy5 Says:

If you had put the turbine very far away from that garage she would have had pià ¹ easy flow d' air in the turbine and greater è l' efficiency. To never put anywhere near a building, of other high structures, poles, trees or other blocks of wind. They produce vortices that to have the twenty energy kinetic and to add to turbulences and vibrations in your turbine.

Oh but. I do not think the power grid, would want to pay you what you gave them. This one way street thing. . Has got to go. .

  13. Kimble275 Says:

Impressive. This is the new beginning Isaac Newton had explained about urging, yelling at people how dumb they must have been, no wonder Isaac was known to be a grumpy man. Einstein new it, just kept his mouth shut, and that depressed him Who else knew it? The Mayans, so did Gospel Peter, David and John etc. Comfortable living for all.

  15. inagod Says:

@MattsFarm01 they have to pay you by law,in most states.

  16. MattsFarm01 Says:

Some years ago, flour mills to wind for private use in the Maine, USA were a proposizione to lose also when sold è l' excess to the società electrical worker. And sì, that he meant to throw via the money every day. A factor that è be the high interest rate the banks paid in those days. Today it would be a better transaction. Task that you have made a great job on the system. Eventual other video of it?

just for those who are unaware the inverter feeds power on the same freq back to the power company the way it works is like a biggy bank IF you make more than you use it goes back to the power company and yes they pay you for it BUT at the straight rate. . . . they add taxes fuel charges etc etc thier KWH may be for ex 0. 12 cents from them to you and 0. 07 cents from you to them.
