Most single panels are 180 watts. Considering i don’t know the exact specs on these panels remember it just an estimate.

wow that sounds really loud! You should in case the generator in some kind of sound reducing material. And you should put a muffler on that as well
I have a gas generator in my garage for emergencies, and when I’m running it you can hardly hear it about 10 feet away. But I have it and closed in a sound muffling enclosure.

no, I am using 2 hawker batteries used in hazard areas
July 13th, 2010 at 10:43 pm
Are you using regular car batteries? Sounds like you are
July 13th, 2010 at 11:05 pm
U say a bulb or 2, lol. .
I run a smaller 90 watt solar panel and run 5 (cfl13watt) light bulbs for 12 hours at night using 2 –40ah batteries. . and I am sure my batteries can go over 24hrs and even more if I wanted
July 13th, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Cold. Good for a light bulb or 2.

ofcourse these are offgrid inverter, they can be used for lighing purpose and TV usage.
with this type of system you only can store and use 1000 watt hour power per day which is equivalant of one 100w bulb turning it on just for 10 hours, or 2 50 watt bulb for 10 hours usage.

the cost of sanyo 230 watt is almost 4. 5$ per watt, just for a single PV module of 230 watt, you will need hardly a charge controller of 10 ampere size, and abattery of 10Amp-hour capacity for storing 1000 watt energy during 5 hours daily sun time, of course you can have more number of battery but the cost of battery is high , for 100amp-hour 12 volt battery it costs 250$, charge controller may be 100 dollar and inverter of 500watt size as u have only one module, it may cost u 200,
