February 11, 2009 lecture by Jefferson Tester for the Woods Energy Seminar (ENERGY301). In his talk "A Pathway for Widespread Utilization of Geothermal Energy--the Roles of Multi-scale Resource and Technology Research and Systems Analysis," Tester talks about the benefits and challenges of harnessing geothermal energy, and he asserts that it is a large resource that complements solar and wind energy and is both carbon free and scalable. The Woods Energy Seminar is an interdisciplinary series of talks primarily by Stanford experts on a broad range of energy topics. Jefferson Tester is the David Croll Chair for Sustainable Energy Systems and Associate Director for the Cornell Center for a Sustainable Future in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University. Some speakers do not want their slides shown in the video, even though you can see in the video. This is because they are concerned about people doing screen captures on slides that contain unpublished or proprietary information. I know, not exactly logical but it is what it is.

The Illuminati does not want you TO SEE slides. Be thankful we were able to see this so much! A billion dollars compared to the trillions missing from the bank rescue! WTF!

I believe the speaker specifically asked for his slides to be excluded from the video. This is pretty common at seminars presenting new or proprietary information.

Why didn’t you show the slides? Very unfair to your audience!
