Children in the developed world consume many times more resources than children in the developing world so it’s more effective to limit rich kids. e. g. a First World kid typically goes thru many thousands of disposable diapers while a Third World child typically goes thru zero.

Howbout encouraging the undeveloped world NOT to have kids instead. :(

If coal peaks mid century, then surely it’s NOT a good a good idea to ramp up construction of coalbased powerplants? Or did I misunderstand something?

  6. katakanadian Says:

We badly need a voluntary die-off. Have one or zero children especially if you live in the developed world.

Where is the nuclear fuel going to come from?
The FSU nuke material will disappear around 2013. Then what? Lots of concrete in a nuke plant. The cost of steel, cement, transport and labor is going thru the overhead because of oil/N Gas increases. Seems that efficiency will not be enuf. Life style changes will be required. . . big time.
